If you no longer want to be a moderator, you can appoint a new moderator from the group members who can then revoke your status. Please ask for consent in the group beforehand. You remain a moderator until your status is revoked. A group requires at least one moderator. Instructions for appointing can be found for Web, Android, and iOS in the member management.
If you no longer want to be a moderator, you can appoint a new moderator from the members of your group, who can then revoke your moderator status. You will then be just a member of the group.
Please ask for consent in your group beforehand if you no longer want to be a moderator. Also note that you remain a moderator of the group as long as the other moderator has not revoked your moderator status.
If you then do not want to stay in the group, you can leave the group at any time once you have appointed a new moderator. How this works can be seen under: How can I leave a group?
Note: All groups need at least one moderator to remain active. If an existing moderator deletes their profile, a person in the group is automatically re-elected—unless the previous moderator appointed a new one before leaving.
