This article explains how members or moderators can invite neighbors to groups. In closed groups, only moderators are allowed to invite. For the web and apps, it describes how to select people from a list via the "Invite" menu, who will then receive a notification. Invitations cannot be withdrawn. If a person is missing from the list, they may be outside the group's range.
You are a member of a group or even a moderator and would like to invite neighbors to join the group. Here we show you how it works.
Note: In closed groups, only the moderator can invite other people.
First, select your device:
For the web version:
In the group, click the 3 dots to the right of "Show details." A menu will open; select "Invite."
A list will then open with all neighbors who can join the group. Click the checkbox next to the person you want to invite. You can invite multiple people at once. When you have selected everyone you want to invite, confirm by clicking the green "Invite" button.
The people will then receive a notification.
Note: If you do not find a person in the list, it may be because that person is registered in a neighborhood outside the group's range.
For the apps:
In the group, click the 3 dots to the right of the group name. A menu will open; select "Invite."
A list will then open with all neighbors who can join the group. Tap the icon next to the name to invite a person. The people will then automatically receive a notification.
Please note, that it is not possible to withdraw an invitation. Once you tap the icon, the invitation is sent immediately.
Note: If you do not find a person in the list, it may be because that person is registered in a neighborhood outside the group's range.
