According to Article 20 of the GDPR, you can request your personal data stored on nebenan.de in a machine-readable format. The data will be provided via a download link sent by email. This guide explains how to retrieve your data for Web, iOS, and Android, including possible error messages and the contents of the downloadable ZIP file containing various user data.

We provide this data to you in the form of a download link via email.
Below you will find an explanation of how to retrieve your data stored on nebenan.de. First, select your device:
For the Web version:
- Log into your profile.
- Go to the very bottom of the menu to “Privacy” and scroll down to the very bottom of the privacy page. Click on “Create archive”.

A new window will then open:

This window indicates that your request was successful. Please check your email inbox.
If you receive an error message like this:

This is because you have already submitted a request to view your stored personal data in the last 24 hours. In this case, please wait until the next day and try again. If you have problems with the archiving process, please contact our support team via the contact form.
If the request was successful, you will receive the following email:

This email confirms that your request has been successfully received by us.
Afterwards, you will receive another email with a link through which you can download your archive:

If you are already logged into nebenan.de, the link will take you to your profile, and you will need to enter your password again to complete the download:


A ZIP file with a Unix timestamp will be downloaded. Once you have extracted the files, you can access all the data.

and then select “My Data”.

You will then be taken to the page where you can create your archive:

To download the file, you will be redirected to one of your browsers on the iPhone. If you receive an error message when downloading, it may be because you have a certain antivirus program enabled that blocks the download. In this case, we recommend downloading your data via the web version of “nebenan.de”.
All other steps correspond to those for our web version.
For Android:
