Your profile on nebenan.de is visible to neighbors in your immediate and activated adjacent neighborhoods, including first name, first letter of last name, street (optional), and interests. Profile picture is also visible. Posts are readable by registered neighbors, private messages remain private. Data is not accessible to outsiders or search engines. Visibility settings can be adjusted.
Your profile and your personal data
Your profile is visible to all neighbors in your immediate neighborhood and your adjacent neighborhoods, if you have activated these for yourself.
For all your neighbors from your own and adjacent neighborhoods, your first name and the first letter of your last name, your street (optional), and your stated interests are visible.
You can adjust the visibility of your street for the immediate neighborhood and the profile details for the surrounding area in your privacy settings. Your email address and house number are not displayed.
If you have uploaded a profile picture, it is visible to all neighbors in your immediate neighborhood and your adjacent neighborhoods.
Anyone living outside your neighborhoods or not registered on nebenan.de sees nothing of you, and search engines (Google & Co.) cannot access your profile. At nebenan.de, great importance is placed on ensuring that your data is truly only visible to this circle of neighbors.
Your posts and comments
Your posts can basically be read by all registered neighbors in your neighborhood. If you have activated your adjacent neighborhoods, you can share posts, events, groups, and offers with these neighbors. When creating, you have the option to select where the post or event should appear.

Private messages
Private messages between you and your neighbors are private. Only the addressed person can read these messages.
