In addition to your own neighborhood, users of nebenan.de can also communicate with adjacent neighborhoods to share posts, marketplace offers, events, and groups. Posts can be shared with both your own and adjacent neighborhoods. Adjacent neighborhoods are enabled by default and can be viewed in the settings, while access to more distant neighborhoods is not possible.
In addition to your direct neighborhood, you also have the option to connect with your adjacent neighborhoods.
For example, if you have a shelf to give away or are looking for a babysitter, you can reach even more neighbors in your area. And neighbors who live right on the border of another neighborhood can be active in both neighborhoods this way.
Please note: Since nebenan.de is a neighborhood portal, we unfortunately cannot offer neighborhoods beyond the adjacent ones. You have access to your direct neighborhood as well as the adjacent neighborhoods. Anything beyond that is unfortunately not our focus.
You can share general posts, marketplace posts, events, and groups with your adjacent neighborhoods. When you create a post, you have the option to select whether it should appear only in your own neighborhood or also in the adjacent neighborhoods.
Your adjacent neighborhoods are already enabled by default. In your personal settings, you can see which neighborhoods border your own.
Here we show you where you can see which adjacent neighborhoods are available to you:
