You can create an open or closed group on nebenan.de to connect with neighbors on specific topics. As the creator, you automatically become the moderator. You create the group via the "Groups" section on the web, Android, or iOS app, where you set the title, description, and visibility. Neighbors can join the group or request membership.
If you want to connect with your neighbors about certain topics or find like-minded people for a meetup, use our groups feature and create a group. For example, jogging, game nights, regular meetups, gardening or reading tips.

Note: As the creator of a group, you automatically become the moderator and can edit and manage the group.

Here we show you how to create a group. First, select your device:
For the web version:
On the right in the navigation, you will find the "Groups" section. Once you have opened it, you can create a new group by clicking the green button on the right.
Give your group a title and a description. First, decide whether the group should be open or closed and for which neighborhood the group should be visible. When you are done, click "Create" at the bottom to create the group.
Your group will then be visible under the "Groups" section. All neighbors in your immediate neighborhood and surroundings, if you have selected this option, can join your group or request membership.
For our Android app:
Tap the three lines at the bottom right of the screen. Next to the "Your Groups" section, tap "Discover more". The list of current groups will open. You can create a new group by tapping the green button with the +.
Give your group a title and a description. First, decide whether the group should be open or closed. When you are done, click "Create" at the bottom to create the group.
Your group will then be visible under the "Groups" section. All neighbors in your immediate neighborhood and surroundings can join your group or request membership.
