There are five post categories: Announcement, Search, Offer, Recommendation, and Event. Depending on visibility, posts are visible in the immediate neighborhood, adjacent neighborhoods, or groups. Offers appear in the marketplace, and events also appear under "Events." Posts can be shared publicly or within groups. Additional guides on post features are linked.

All posts, except marketplace offers, that are visible to you—that is, posts from your immediate neighborhood, from adjacent neighborhoods you have activated, and posts from groups you are a member of—are shown on your homepage. Giveaway and sales offers can be found in the marketplace.
Events are visible both on the homepage and under the "Events" section.
You can set the visibility of your posts while composing them. The post can be visible only to your immediate neighborhood or also to adjacent neighborhoods if you have activated them.
To share your post beyond your neighborhood and surroundings, you can also create a public post.
If you are a moderator or member of a group, you can also create your posts visible only to a specific group. The post will then be visible only to members of that group. Learn more about posts within groups in the article “How do I write a post in my group?"
